Birthing our babies can be such a beautiful, nourishing and at times a traumatic event. It’s a momentous occasion in a woman’s life, partnered or not.
I am a firm believer in the birth story as the greatest love story. We’ve offered our bodies to this little human who comes through us in a variety of different ways, some vaginally others through your belly (c-cection). However you birthed, you deserve to tell your story whether for your own healing or family healing. Your birth story can also be a gift you pass down to your child as they grow older.
What I offer is a compassionate space where you can talk about your pregnancy and birth experience. I listen, record and transcribe your story into written form.
Birth Story Processing includes:
- Phone conversation
- In person interview
- Birth story processing session
- Picture additions (optional)
After our work together, I present you with the recording and a written copy of your story for you to do with what you choose.
I want to emphasize that this offering is meant to be a nourishing space for you to process your feelings and experience around your birth story. I’m here to empower you to speak the truth of your experience.
In 2003 I shifted my life from being a social worker to studying H0listic Health. I began midwifery studies with Elizabeth Davis through Heart & Hands Midwifery. Though I chose a different route, I continued on in the Birth and Postpartum field. It wasn’t until I birthed my son however, that I developed a true understanding of what it takes to birth a child.
Telling my birth story empowered me as a woman and mother, however when I actually wrote it out, I felt a new level of healing and power that I cannot even explain. I would love to share this experience with you by listening and putting your experience down in written word. No matter your child’s age, your story is valid, it’s beautiful and I welcome the opportunity to support you in sharing.
If you have any questions or would like schedule a session, I offer a 30-minute complimentary no-pressure consultation. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
